John Chapter 1815 Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he entered with Jesus into the court of the high priest,16 but Peter stood outside at the door. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the servant girl who kept watch at the door, and brought Peter in.17 The servant girl at the door said to Peter, āYou also are not one of this manās disciples, are you?ā He said, āI am not.ā18 Now the servants and officers had made a charcoal fire, because it was cold, and they were standing and warming themselves. Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself. John Chapter 1825 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him, āYou also are not one of his disciples, are you?ā He denied it and said, āI am not.ā26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, āDid I not see you in the garden with him?ā27 Peter again denied it, and at once a rooster crowed. Luke Chapter 2254 Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priestās house, and Peter was following at a distance.55 And when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.56 Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at him, said, āThis man also was with him.ā57 But he denied it, saying, āWoman, I do not know him.ā58 And a little later someone else saw him and said, āYou also are one of them.ā But Peter said, āMan, I am not.ā59 And after an interval of about an hour still another insisted, saying, āCertainly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.ā60 But Peter said, āMan, I do not know what you are talking about.ā And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, āBefore the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.ā62 And he went out and wept bitterly. Mark Chapter 1466 And as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came,67 and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, āYou also were with the Nazarene, Jesus.ā68 But he denied it, saying, āI neither know nor understand what you mean.ā And he went out into the gateway and the rooster crowed.69 And the servant girl saw him and began again to say to the bystanders, āThis man is one of them.ā70 But again he denied it. And after a little while the bystanders again said to Peter, āCertainly you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.ā71 But he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, āI do not know this man of whom you speak.ā72 And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, āBefore the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.ā And he broke down and wept. Matthew Chapter 2669 Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came up to him and said, āYou also were with Jesus the Galilean.ā70 But he denied it before them all, saying, āI do not know what you mean.ā71 And when he went out to the entrance, another servant girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, āThis man was with Jesus of Nazareth.ā72 And again he denied it with an oath: āI do not know the man.ā73 After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, āCertainly you too are one of them, for your accent betrays you.ā74 Then he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, āI do not know the man.ā And immediately the rooster crowed.75 And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, āBefore the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.ā And he went out and wept bitterly. |
