Acts Chapter 223 this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. Isaiah Chapter 535 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. John Chapter 1916 So he delivered him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus,17 and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha.18 There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them.19 Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, āJesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.ā20 Many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek.21 So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, āDo not write, āThe King of the Jews,ābut rather, āThis man said, I am King of the Jews.ā ā22 Pilate answered, āWhat I have written I have written.ā23 When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom,24 so they said to one another, āLet us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it shall be.ā This was to fulfill the Scripture which says, āThey divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.ā So the soldiers did these things,25 but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his motherās sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.26 When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, āWoman, behold, your son!ā27 Then he said to the disciple, āBehold, your mother!āAnd from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. John Chapter 1937 And again another Scripture says, āThey will look on him whom they have pierced.ā Luke Chapter 2326 And as they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus.27 And there followed him a great multitude of the people and of women who were mourning and lamenting for him.28 But turning to them Jesus said, āDaughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.29 For behold, the days are coming when they will say, āBlessed are the barren and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!ā30 Then they will begin to say to the mountains, āFall on us,āand to the hills, āCover us.ā31 For if they do these things when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?ā32 Two others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him.33 And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.34 And Jesus said, āFather, forgive them, for they know not what they do.ā And they cast lots to divide his garments.35 And the people stood by, watching, but the rulers scoffed at him, saying, āHe saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!ā36 The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him sour wine37 and saying, āIf you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!ā38 There was also an inscription over him, āThis is the King of the Jews.ā39 One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, āAre you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!ā40 But the other rebuked him, saying, āDo you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?41 And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.ā42 And he said, āJesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.ā43 And he said to him, āTruly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.ā Mark Chapter 1521 And they compelled a passerby, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.22 And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull).23 And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.24 And they crucified him and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take.25 And it was the third hour when they crucified him.26 And the inscription of the charge against him read, āThe King of the Jews.ā27 And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left.29 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads and saying, āAha! You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,30 save yourself, and come down from the cross!ā31 So also the chief priests with the scribes mocked him to one another, saying, āHe saved others; he cannot save himself.32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe.ā Those who were crucified with him also reviled him. Matthew Chapter 2732 As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross.33 And when they came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull),34 they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it.35 And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments among them by casting lots.36 Then they sat down and kept watch over him there.37 And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, āThis is Jesus, the King of the Jews.ā38 Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left.39 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads40 and saying, āYou who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.ā41 So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying,42 āHe saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.43 He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, āI am the Son of God.ā ā44 And the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way. |
