Web Developer

Justinen Creative Group is a fast-paced creative agency designing and producing digital and physical products for customers around the world. JCG focuses mainly on custom religious illustration and design work. Having a vast array of religious stock imagery, JCG started GoodSalt.com, now the world's largest resource for religious imagery. We represent artists and photographers and house about 17,000 religious images and we license them to churches, publishers, designers and the like. Memorial Reflections is our third company that creates custom portraits for the funeral industry. This fast pace company turns simple snapshots of people into elegant portraits to be used in funeral services. Each of these three companies has it's own web presence, two of which are extensive e-commerce sites.

We are a small team of about ten located in Nampa, Idaho, the second largest city in the state, just 20 minutes from Boise. We are a very family friendly group with flexible hours and a beautiful work environment in an old historic building in downtown, Nampa. Southern Idaho offers great skiing, outdoor recreation, and low cost living.

JCG is seeking an experienced developer who is a quick learner and problem solver and is excited to dive into existing code.

Key Job Responsibilities:
• Develop PHP code/scripts, appropriately employing object-oriented design methods and patterns.
• Implement PSD designs in valid HTML and CSS.
• Have the ability to debug and research issues independently.

Requirements:
• Exceptional PHP skills
• Excellent HTML/CSS skills
• Good Object Oriented Programming skills
• Ability to write efficient and tested MySQL queries
• Experience with PHP MVC Frameworks such as CakePHP
• Solid knowledge of AJAX techniques and 3rd party libraries such as jQuery or prototype
• Overall proficiency with JavaScript

The following are desired:
• Familiarity with image processing tools such as Photoshop and Imagemagick
• Experience with version control tools such as SVN
• Experience with linux server administration, Apache, mysql, procmail, postfix, spam assassin and friends
• Familiarity with code opcaches such as APC
• General knowledge of PC / MAC troubleshooting and repair would be helpful

Hours: Part - Full Time
