Abraham's Guests

Abraham receives three travelers beneath the shade of a great tree beside his tent, offering bread, drink, and a prepared meal in the manner of ancient Near Eastern hospitality. Sarah stands near the tent entrance, listening as the visitors share the promise that she will bear a son. The scene reflects Genesis 18, where the Lord appears to Abraham by the oaks of Mamre through the arrival of three guests.
