Description
If I could see the Lords hands like an overarching dome, surrounding and covering me, what would that look like? I transferred the resulting cupped hands drawing to a very loose, unfinished painting of NZ bush that has been my studio for several years.
Life around us is not all peaceful, warm and friendly. We are surrounded by all that is taking place in the natural world and all that seeks to distract and attack from the spiritual realm.
As I painted protective light and warmth, I began imagining and developing faces and characters in the surrounding abstract patterns of form and color.
The representative human figure illustrates the place of rest and confidence that God wants to give to each of us. This comes from knowing His loving presence.
Jesus said, “My sheep … follow me… and I give them eternal life, so that they will never be lost. No one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father gave them to me, and he is greater than all others. No one can snatch them from his hands.” John 10v27-29.
