True Beauty

Creating a visual essay in oil colours about the essence of ultimate loveliness, was quite a challenge. I imagined looking out from inside an ancient building, and designed a row of fancy perfume bottles for the foreground. The bottles are symbolic of beauty, but they also provided brand name spaces for the aroma of the Holy Spirit. The open hands symbolise the offer of Jesus to radiate His character from the core of each one of us if we will yield to Him. The original inspiration came as I compared the Fruit of the Spirit with the emphasis on skin deep beauty that puts much pressure on our lives.
