Walk in the Light

Description
There is a paved path outside Jerusalem's Old City wall, a little South of the Jaffa Gate. As the painting developed, I began adding symbols of the world's greatest story.
Within the arm of the cross, you will find the Saviour's wounded heel and the serpent's shattered head.
The painting also speaks about a new life of walking in the light, of fellowship with God and one another, beyond the cross.
In the centre, beside a broken idol of self, are symbols of discarded things – infirmity, pretense and addictions.
On the right, hyssop (synonymous with cleansing) blooms around an olive tree into which a wild, gentile branch has been grafted.
